YogaMood

Feeding insights from Pearfisher Futures' Body Mode into brand strategy, brand identity and structural packaging design, we gave the philosophy of a newly established Copenhagen yoga studio physical form.

...

YogaMood seeks to place yoga in a contemporary Scandinavian context, making it accessible to those without prior knowledge of yoga while retaining the philosophy’s unique ideology and symbolism. Combining the simplicity of spirituality with the stringency of Scandinavian design, we developed an identity for the studio and its range of aromatherapy oils, each of which intensifies the meditative experience of yoga by stimulating the body's senses in different ways.

The bottle design and naming of the oils – A (Activate), U (Unify) and M (Meditate) – form an entity, supporting the three core yoga concepts of activity, balance and contemplation, while preserving the individual integrity of each. A, U and M form the phonic acronym AUM, a chant associated with the practice of yoga and central to Eastern philosophy. Written in the most common Indian script, Devangari, AUM forms a symbol that is instantly recognised worldwide as the yoga logo.
