Cannes Lions Breakfast Debate: Advertising vs. Design?
Pearlfisher is thrilled to be packing our sun hats and creative caps as we head to Cannes Lions, the world’s leading festival of creativity and innovation.
It will be a busy week: our Founding Creative Partner Karen Welman will be judging Design Lions while Founding Creative Partner Jonathan Ford will be speaking onstage at The Forum with relationships expert and Fortune 100 Luminary Esther Perel about ‘The Erotics of Branding.’ We will also be hosting an exclusive event on the Cannes beachfront where Jonathan and Esther will present edited highlights of their talk and continue the discussion around how to create, sustain and increase desire for brands.
The week will kick off, however, with Jonathan’s participation in a debate facilitated by Creative Pool: ‘Advertising vs. Design, Which Matters More?’. On Team Design, Jonathan will be joined by Matthew Parkes of JKR and Jon White of Elmwood. They’ll be up against Seb Hill of BBD Perfect Storm, Justin Moore-Lewy of HeLo and Kerrie Finch of FinchFactor on Team Advertising. We look forward to the result!
