Brandi Parker to speak about sustainable brands and packaging at The Dieline conference
Our Head of Realization, Brandi Parker, is headed to The Dieline Conference as a speaker and awards co-host.
Join Brandi and her co-host, Alex Center, Founder and Designer and Center, at the 2019 Dieline Awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 8. The 9th annual design competition recognizes outstanding packaging in addition to some newly added categories, like the Plastic Free Award.
Brandi will also join a panel at The Dieline conference to discuss the future of sustainable brands and packaging. The panel will take place on May 9th from 3:15 – 5:00 p.m., moderated by Andrew Dent, Vice President of Library and Materials Research at Material ConneXion.
“I’m excited to discuss more about design in sustainability and to use forums like this to take the subject further out of surface-level speak toward a discourse about how to make serious change,” Brandi says. “I’m most looking forward to hearing the other panelists and seeing how our collective ideas can merge together to create the future of sustainability.”
Tackling topics like what the world of packaging will look like in the next 5-15 years, if governments should take the initiative and implement state and country-wide regulations or bans on single-use plastics, or if the issue is the sole responsibility of brands will be:
- Giles Verdon, Earthcare and Engineering Circle member at Lush Cosmetics
- Sian Sutherland, Co-founder at A Plastic Planet
- Brandi Parker, Head of Realization at Pearlfisher
Now in its ninth year, The Dieline Conference remains the most influential and comprehensive packaging and branding design conference around the world, serving as a focal point for designers who work on consumer brands. To find out more please click here.
