‘Seedlip is not Enough’: A new non-alcoholic aperitifs brand, Æcorn

Just as apothecaries did 300 years ago with distilled non-alcoholic spirits, the Seedlip Founder & CEO discusses his desire to reinvent non-alcoholic appetite stimulants in today’s beverage industry through a new brand –Æcorn Aperitifs.
As a sister brand to Seedlip, the distilled non-alcoholic spirits brand, Æcorn is a range of non-alcoholic aperitifs. Æcorn continues to express the art of nature through its botanical ingredients and the brand design, which we created in partnership with Ben and the Æcorn team.
Earlier this year, Ben hinted at exciting developments to come from Seedlip during his Challengers & Icons interview with Pearlfisher’s Founding Partner, Mike Branson. A core theme throughout that conversation was the malleability of the beverage space and how receptive consumers are to shifts in the drinking experience as tastes and lifestyles evolve.
Part of making Æcorn relevant today is considering the consumer and how best to introduce nonalcoholic offerings without compromising brand integrity. For Seedlip, this came to fruition in our brand identity and packaging design that combined the distilling process and core ingredients in illustrative ways. As its own, distinct venture, Æcorn posed new opportunities for our strategic design process and we look forward to sharing the full case study early next year.
