The 2021 DBA winners have been revealed! We’re thrilled to have earned a Gold award for our work with Lakrids by Bülow.

The highly-prestigious DBA Design Effectiveness Awards celebrate the branding and design projects which have proven an impactful and commercial difference for a brand. We’re celebrating 22 consecutive years of success at the DBA’s after earning a much-coveted Gold award for our work with Lakrids by Johan Bülow.

Post-redesign, at the end of 2019, Lakrids by Bülow reported its highest ever turnover and bottom line growth of a staggering 139%. In addition, the brand outperformed international sales expectations, expanded outside the category and was able to claim its status as the world’s first confectionery producer to have moved to 100% recycled packaging.

Commenting on the international recognition the rebrand has achieved, Founder of Lakrids by Bülow & Creative Director, Johan Bülow, said, “Creativity is at the very heart of everything we do and we firmly believe that, alongside our continual experimentation and innovation, a breakthrough design would be the platform for our future growth and success.
