We’ve worked with our friends at BEARFACE to create its new super-premium Wilderness Series with a world-first flavour for the initial release: Matsutake 01.

This limited release infuses BEARFACE single grain whisky with the rare and wildly foraged Matsutake mushroom – a unique and sought-after mushroom species that grows wild in British Columbia. Every whisky tells a story, but the BEARFACE narrative is rooted deep in the wilds of British Columbia. Their new Wilderness Series expression is set to intrigue adventure-loving whisky drinkers who want to experience the best of super-premium craft spirits being made in Canada today.

For the brand design, we quite literally imprinted the wild onto the bottle, with the ingredients and foliage directly screen printed onto the glass, conjuring up an experience that is free, elemental and sensorial – matching the brand vision to push boundaries and explore uncharted land. The imprint sits side by side with the brand mark, with the side of the bottle now used for storytelling and hints of gold foiling on the neck label and tag elevating and driving the premium nature of this new variant.
