We were thrilled to host a recent Saturday Club Masterclass at Buckinghamshire New University.

The National Saturday Club Masterclasses initiative gives club members, aged 13-16, rare access to some of the UK’s most creative minds and showcases how skills developed at the Saturday Club’s weekly classes can be applied in the real world.

Our bespoke Graphic Design Masterclass is designed to inspire and support young people who may be interested in a career in the design industry. This time it was the turn of 13 Art & Design Club members from Buckinghamshire New University to receive a double-handed presentation and working session from our very own David Jenkinson, Partner, Design & Experience, and Senior Designer, Dan Bowstead

David and Dan gave an overview of the graphic design, talked through specific techniques and set a practical task for students to use their names or initials to create a logotype using a variety of different printing methods.

“We were blown away with what the students came up with and so impressed by both their application and their quickly-grasped technical know-how. We set out to enthuse and inspire them but both Dan and I have come back on a real high about just what the next generation of potential designers might bring.” – David Jenkinson.

We think the pictures speak for themselves!
