Our strategic design challenge working with the Emmy award-winning film studio was to help them more effectively express to its audience and partners the power of storytelling and inspiration in science education.
We devised a dynamic new visual identity system to reflect the innovative nature of HHMI Tangled Bank Studios in sharing extraordinary science stories that haven’t been told before through their films. We needed to reinforce the idea that where science and story meet there is inspiration, leveraging HHMI Tangled Bank Studios’ visual excellence to create an ownable experience. This led us to devise an over-arching creative concept of ‘revealing clarity’ to inform our buildout of the new visual expression and materials.
Using the Science, Story, Inspiration message as its key communication device, the visual identity system embraces this idea of dramatic reveal and exploration by dialing up the experience in every brand moment.
