How can you deliver an authentic experience when you’ve always received a generic one?

With fast-casual dining and home delivery becoming increasingly popular choices, Wagamama wanted to take the takeaway from just functional to offering its consumers a bowl to delight, on every level, and a more enjoyable eating experience wherever and whenever they choose to indulge.

We needed to reimagine the Wagamama takeaway experience, designing new takeaway packaging to look beautiful and function effortlessly to create the same level of excitement, taste and aesthetic value that can be found in the restaurant.

Our new design has revolutionised everything from food preparation and delivery to the consumer experience in the home, centring on a new bowl system that performs functionally, improves heat retention and maximises the freshness and presentation of every meal. In the absence of staff, the human-centric design tells the Wagamama story and reflects the care and consideration that goes into every bowl of food. Wagamama is beautifully moving from ‘bowl to soul’ to deliver an inspirational new eating out experience that positions it as the icon of high street takeaway.
